Elderlands: Map Creation Contest

Former Origin developer Jason Ely’s current project, Elderlands, is hosting a map creation contest, and are welcoming all map submissions from fans of the game. Those maps selected as winners in the contest will, I gather, be incorporated into the game itself at some point.

Here’s the rules:

1. All maps must be created with the Elderlands Game Editor Toolkit that is released to the public by Monkey Rump Games, LLC.
2. All maps must be created using only art assets that were contained in the original Game Editor Toolkit.
3. Maps must me saved via the Elderlands Game Editor Toolkit as a .elmap file using the Export feature.
4. Maximum map dimensions will be 64 chunks by 64 chunks
5. All Entries must be entered by Sunday June 17th
6. All non-map content (Fictional documents, scans of map drawings, etc) must be contained in an archive file that is accompanied with the submitted map.

So, if you feel like messing around with a tile-based game editor and would be thrilled to see your work possibly included in an online, multiplayer tile-based RPG…hit up the Elderlands forum for details, grab the game’s map editor, and have at it!
