BioWare Mondays

There isn’t actually that much news from BioWare this week, which is something of a surprise after several weeks that have been filled to bursting with news from the Edmonton-based studio and its various child studios.

As noted last week, a Mass Effect 3 patch was released more or less at the same time as the Rebellion multiplayer DLC for the game. The patch fixed a number of bugs, while the DLC added a few new things to the game’s multiplayer experience…including energy whips, apparently.

The producers of Mass Effect would like you to know that they’ve never seen Season 1 of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The Ferengi? What are those?

Mass Effect producer Nick Clifford sat down with BioWare’s in-house blogging staff for a brief interview, and BioWare also announced last week that they would be adapting a series of fan-designed hoodies for sale through the official BioWare store. Also, this replica pistol is just cool, it must be said.

Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, the animated movie produced by Funimation, is now available on DVD. If you were lucky enough to catch it in a theatre last week, do drop your thoughts on it in the comments!

And in their first (and hopefully not final) announcement at E3, BioWare informed the world that Star Wars: The Old Republic would see a bunch of new content in the next little while. The game will also be going free-to-play, with a level cap of 15. Make of that what you will.
