Elderlands: Website Updated; Development Roadmap Published

The Elderlands website has been updated this week. On the surface, it appears to allow you to register a user account again (the link also suggests downloads of the game client are available), although clicking to do so will redirect you to the developer’s (Asylumsoft) website.

The other new content on the website is the development road map for the game. There isn’t a lot of context given for the different entries on the roadmap, but in general it appears to follow a series of zones that are either already in the game or which will be added to it. These zones are tied to different player experience levels, and the addition of each to the game will evidently bring with it new features as well. As an example, here’s the first roadmap entry:

Level Range: 1 – 10
Zone: Darshire.
Features:
  • New Spell and Buff System
  • New Stat/Attribute System
  • Party System
  • Four Base Classes
    • Warrior
    • Mage
    • Cleric
    • Ranger
  • Updated Combat
  • Ranged Weapons. (Bows, Wands)
  • New Encounter and Resource Spawn System
  • Improved Treasure System
  • Improved User Interface
  • Class Trainers
  • 68 Initial Quests

Keep checking back at the Elderlands website for more news and further developments!
