Sir John has released version 1.0 beta 3 of his German translation patch for Ultima 6. Of course, because I’m a bit behind on the news with respect to all of Sir John’s good work, I should also note that he released version 1.0 beta 2 recently, as well.

Changes made in that release were as follows:

Changes in this version are mainly:
– „(Curved) Heater“ heißt nun einheitlich „Schlangenschild“ (zuvor auch „Gebogener Brandschild“)
– Quenton Murder Case is playable now and (with reservations) also solvable
– 2. round of proof-reading

And here’s what’s new in beta 3, which Sir John thinks will probably be the last beta release:

Changes in this version are mainly:
– the whole magic system is also translated to German now
– I have created a manual and included that in the download. It has ~30 pages, so it is a hybrid between the original manual and the U6 Compendium
– some more minor spelling mistakes are gone
– I was able to translate some more system barks
