It’s heartening that Lord British seems to be getting a kick out of Mythic’s free-to-play Ultima title. I’ll have to look for the former king of Britannia when I’m wandering around in-game, won’t I?

Wow, I didn’t know that there was a 3D version of Ultima. But alas, it’s only for iOS. Oh well, I’ll just look at the YouTube playthrough then. 😛
Yes, there is! It was published in 1999. It’s called Ultima 9, and you can pick it up for cheap today at GOG. Hit the banner link in the header.
And technically, the Enhanced Client for Ultima Online is 3D as well, or at least is uses a 3D-capable engine.
Ultima Forever uses 3D character and creature models over a 2D hand-painted backdrop. It’s currently available for iOS, but Android and PC ports are coming (in that order, actually).
