To celebrate the 9th anniversary of this website and its predecessor, Ultima Aiera, we’ve added a new collection to the Origin Gallery: scans of a proof copy of the installation guide for Ultima 9.

There aren’t any real surprised or shattering revelations to be found; this is (more or less) the version of the guide that shipped with the game. And I’ll note that the enhanced combat moves (which could be unlocked in-game by visiting trainers) are in fact documented somewhere, although I still maintain that Origin Systems needed to do more to draw attention to these (they actually make combat in Ultima 9 rather more interesting, and more tactical).
