I had a chance to play through the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo last night, and was very impressed with the game. I didn’t get to explore all the game’s mechanics, but what I did see offered a lot of promise.

I won a draw on the Reckoning Forums to receive a set of three Destiny Cards, the same set that was evidently being given away by Big Huge Games at E3. Naturally, I shot a few pictures as I opened them.
Former Lazarus project leader Ian Fraizer and his team at Big Huge Games have hidden a rather subtle — but quite excellent — homage to the Ultima character classes in the system of “destinies” (class-like character specializations) which they’ve devised for their upcoming RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
