I had a chance to check out the weekend beta of Star Wars: The Old Republic, the upcoming MMORPG from BioWare’s Austin studio. I managed to play through portions of the origin missions of three classes, and took quite a number of screenshots along the way.

Electronic Arts has just announced its new digital download service, which has a name that will be more than a little familiar to Ultima fans.
Suppose for a moment that BioWare’s The Old Republic MMORPG fails commercially. Will the Star Wars franchise survive?
