Question About Ultima 3

Over in the Answers from Smith areaHirsute Dragon asks the following:

I seem to recall once reading somewhere that after Ultima 3 was released, someone made a bonus disk with extra adventures to play thru with Ultima 3.  They weren’t made by Origin and had nothing to do with the Sosaria or the plot or anything.  I seem to recall them being connected to the C64 releases, but I could be wrong there.  Whatever the case, I can’t seem to find any evidence of anything like this anymore.  Did I dream it?  Was there a conspiratorial purge of the internet?  Tell me I’m not crazy!

For my part, it strikes me that I’ve heard of something like this as well. Can’t recall the specifics of it, though.

So if any of you out there in the wider UDIC community can provide a more…definitive answer to Hirsute’s question, please feel free to do so!
And, of course, you can always post your questions about anything Ultima in the Answers from Smith area.

I remember this kind of thing being mentioned in the old RGCUD FAQ. It talked about an old “cottage industry” of unofficial Ultima expansions back in the 1980s. I don’t believe any specific examples were mentioned.

Ultimore I believe for the Apple II. There are also ULTIMA 3-4 editors for Apple 2. Pix only got his hands on “A world divided.”
