The CRPG Addict: Ultima 5 Beaten (With Final Rating)

Well, that’s it for now, Dragons and Dragonettes: The CRPG Addict has beaten Ultima 5. Dungeon Doom proved less difficult than he expected it too; he figures he could have probably beaten it with a Level 5 party.

Do be sure not to miss his final rating of, and comments on, the game. Ultima 5 has achieved a new high score in his “GIMLET” rating system. One wonders how long it will take before another title unseats it from its worthy place at the top, and whether it will be another Ultima that does so.

Also, don’t miss his brief review of Chris Hopkins’ Ultima IV Part II: Dude, Where’s My Avatar?. It’s simply hilarious, and the Addict praises both Hopkins’ excellent knowledge of Ultima lore and his brilliant skewering thereof.

And if you haven’t yet tried out that particular Ultima parody, you can get it here, from its project entry, or here, from Hopkins himself.

Nice review. I agree with the final numbers. Ultima VI should displant it easily should his next adventure so incline.

Very good review. The CRPG addict is always excellent even when his games are not.
