Ananias Roguelike: Version 1.52 Released; New Website; Check Out Slashbot

Slashing Dragon has released version 1.52 of Ananias Roguelike; it can be played online at the moment. The Android release is coming soon, but Slash is doing some testing to “ensure it works well along the Fellowship version”.

And in case you’re wondering what that means, here’s the explanation:

Community (Fellowship Version)

  • In-Game notifications: Seen when your friends are playing along with you.
  • Friends Graveyard
  • Global Graveyard
  • Personal Graveyard (Saved online)
  • Signup
  • Add Friend
  • Autologin

That would seem to be the biggest new feature that this version of Ananias incorporates, although as per usual there have been many tweaks, adjustments, and bugfixes.

Additionally, as can be seen above, Slash has launched a new website for the game, which gives numerous details about its character classes, gameplay, and features. And hey…it looks rather nice, as well.

The Ananias Indiegogo campaign is winding down; there are but a few days left. This campaign was intended to finance improved art for Ananias, but has pulled in woefully little actual funding. I know that Underworld Ascendant is kind of the big spend for the month, but maybe consider throwing some dollars in Slash’s direction even so.

Finally, Slashing Dragon has also been working on something called Slashbot for a while now, which he describes as follows:

…it’s a IRC bot that can be used to create stories collaboratively, so every person in the party gets a turn to add something to the story.

It’s made on nodejs+mongodb using node-irc; it can also connect directly to slack using its node lib. We are making this mostly to polish our node skills in preparation for other projects, but ultimately we think this may be something fun to play with (we have already created some dumb amazing stories)

If that sounds at all fun, you can check Slashbot out on GitHub.
