Shroud of the Avatar: Benefactor Symbol Reveals Other New Britannian Continents, Looks Like Britannia Circa Ultima 9

The Shroud of the Avatar Benefactor symbol shows the world of New Britannia with the shattered moon floating above it:

The island of Novia is visible in the middle of New Britannia as depicted, and several continents and other islands can be seen surrounding it. These are, it is likely, the other lands comprising New Britannia, which Richard Garriott has in several interviews suggested will be the settings for later games in the Shroud of the Avatar series.

However, at least one sharp-eyed Shroud of the Avatar and Ultima fan spotted a certain…similarity between the continents and another well-known continent with which Richard Garriott has some connection and history:

That’s right: the continents of New Britannia closely resemble Britannia circa Ultima 9, with Novia occupying the place of Buccaneer’s Den. Of course, the scale is all wrong; Novia is a continent in its own right, not a small little island. But still…the arrangement and shape of it and its sister continents is rather uncanny

I’m really starting to wonder whether SotA is some sort of inofficial continuation of the Bob White plot.
The name “New Britannia” already appears there, Novia closely resembles Sosaria from Ultima 3 and there is very little doubt that the other islands are the broken old Britannia from Ultima 9.

Maybe in a new kind of interpretation not the whole planet is destroyed after the events of the original Ultima 9 but simply a huge cataclysm happens, destroying everything and raising Sosaria back from the ground.

The only thing that does not match with the BW plot is that Skara Brae is still there. However that has been shielded from the cataclysm by the runes iirc. Soooo… maybe it could have stood where it was without being destroyed?
