Rather Infrequent Open Thread
I’ll be travelling today, so you all get a big list of links and the opportunity to talk about pretty much anything. Because that, Dragons and Dragonettes, is how we roll on this site....

The no longer anywhere near nightly open discussion thread at Ultima Aiera.
A handful of links and videos about the upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the open-world RPG which (as I’m sure you all know by now) has none other than Ian “Tiberius” Frazier as its lead designer.
Ian “Tiberius” Frazier, former lead of Team Lazarus and currently the lead designer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, gave RPG Codex an exclusive interview…in which he says some very promising-sounding things about the upcoming RPG from Big Huge Games.
I won a draw on the Reckoning Forums to receive a set of three Destiny Cards, the same set that was evidently being given away by Big Huge Games at E3. Naturally, I shot a few pictures as I opened them.
Former Lazarus project leader Ian Fraizer and his team at Big Huge Games have hidden a rather subtle — but quite excellent — homage to the Ultima character classes in the system of “destinies” (class-like character specializations) which they’ve devised for their upcoming RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
A lengthy (seriously: 22 minutes!) demo of Kingdoms of Amalur, Reckoning, the upcoming RPG from 38 Studios and Big Huge Games. And yes, Tibby hosts this one as well.
Three videos spotlighting a bunch of the features of 38 Studios’ upcoming RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It would seem to have a lot of RPG features, more than just an open world. And hey, it’s Tibby presenting the game in the videos; you should watch them just for that.
A pair of articles released over the weekend give me new confidence that the RPG Tibby is designing for 38 Studios will be more than just a generic fantasy action game.
Big Huge Games/38 Studios’ upcoming RPG title — Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning — won a lot of accolades at E3 this year, and looks really promising. And did I mention that its lead designer is none other than Tiberius Moongazer, former head of Team Lazarus?
