As of 4:17 PM (MST) today, Ultima Aiera has logged over a million hits since the beginning of its website traffic statistics tracking (in 2008). That’s a pretty major milestone for the site, and a testament to the long-term staying power of Ultima.
Some of you might have received malware notifications when visiting the site today. If so, I apologize. However, Aiera is now malware free again, and I continue to take pains to maintain its security.
I changed Aiera’s “down for maintenance” page a while ago, to give it a look and feel consistent with the rest of the site.
After 9 years, 4 months and 29 days, Dino the Dark Dragon has announced that he is ceasing posting updates to Dino’s Ultima Page for the foreseeable future.
Because of a particularly pressing work project, I’ll have to devote hours I might normally use for drafting posts to working on a report instead. As such, the quantity of updates per day might be reduced.
Since I’ll be spending most of today in the air or in client offices, there probably won’t be much in the way of articles posted to the site until Wednesday. Though I’ll try and check comments from time to time, and will have access to email whilst in airports and the hotel.
This year, I’ve decided to participate in Extra Life, a gamer-specific fundraising drive for hospitals that deliver critical care to sick children. And I’ve put together a team Ultima fans are encouraged to join, too!
A long overdue “thank you” to everyone who has supported the site by doing their shopping at Amazon.com.
I have a lot of research to do — and a lot of articles to draft — over the next few days. As such, site updates will probably be minimal, if not non-existent, during that time.
