In the latest Pen of the Avatar session, Portalarium concept artist Stephen Daniele continued his work on the amphitheatre splash image he began working on three weeks ago.
In an interview with Warcry, Richard Garriott revealed how player-made items in Shroud of the Avatar will remember their history and, over time, become artifacts. He also discussed the game’s conversation system, and even said that the “World of Warcraft” model of MMORPGs has been overdone. Because of course he did. (And now the third part of the interview has been posted.)

Another piece of the map of the Island of Novia, the setting for the first Shroud of the Avatar game, was revealed this week. Check out the Ultima Codex’s updated, pieced-together map of Novia, with the names of locations and points of interest translated to English.

Portalarium revealed two more pieces of the labeled map of Novia, the setting of the first episode of the Shroud of the Avatar series. And, of course, these accompanied yet another excerpt from the game’s backstory.
Portalarium have shown off a pair of cloaks that Shroud of the Avatar players will be able to wear. The first is a Founder-exclusive cloak featuring the symbol of the shattered moon, and the second is the Lord British cloak…which is available for purchase, of course. There’s also a special axe available.
Portalarium have revealed the Benefactor Knight Village Home for later Knight-level backers of Shroud of the Avatar, and have also made some changes to the Founder Knight Village Home.
