Following on in the footsteps of YouTube artist Another Dimension’s similar take on Ultima 7: The Black Gate, another YouTuber — Tronik Dreams — has continued the trend by rendering some concept footage of what Ultima Underworld might have looked like had it been made not as a computer game, but as a dark fantasy film produced in the 1980s. Which, as was the case for Ultima 7, is years prior to the release of the game…but the results are nevertheless quite impressive.

Though the characters and locations aren’t quite as instantly recognizable as was the case for Ultima 7, there’s definitely a “dungeon into the bowels of the Earth” vibe to all of the artwork in the video.
