Corven – Path of Redemption: January 2021 Update
Corv has posted an update to the Kickstarter page for Corven – Path of Redemption, detailing the status of the project at the dawn of the new year:
1.3, the final demo before the Alpha of the game is now ready for download. There aren’t any massive changes, mostly some polishing.
Changelog for 1.3:
– combat music will not play anymore after you ran away from an enemy
– adjusted melee combat distance
– made melee attack animations and cooldowns slightly shorter to make melee combat feel more responsive
– fixed bug which prevented you from engaging 2 or more enemies at once
– fixed bug which prevented you to re-engage enemy you escaped from previously
– added Margaretha, Arlec and Lava Crawler Portraits
– some landscape modifications
You can see an example of one of the landscape modifications above. The download link for the new demo is at the article, which (I believe) is limited to project backers only.
Other than that, development is going well:
Working mostly on world design at the moment. Nothing good enough to show yet. But everything is coming along very nicely. No insane roadblocks at the moment (knock on wood)
Since I got some questions about it I want to confirm once more that Corven will be DRM free for backers and it will be on Steam.
If you’re a backer, do click on through to read the rest of the update; there’s a really neat example of how a backer photo has been transformed into an NPC portrait.
