At long last, Goldenflame Dragon has released a playable demo of The Dark Unknown, the Ultima-inspired RPG he has been working on for many a year now.

The demo has been updated twice since its July 1st release, once to correct a plethora of user-reported bugs, and then a second time…to…fix more user-reported bugs, actually.

You can give the demo a try today — downloads are available for Windows and Linux, which you can obtain from The Dark Unknown website or from the project’s entry here at the Codex. Be advised that, per some discussions on the UDIC Discord server, the Linux demo may fail to start due to some folder permissions issues with where it attempts to store its savegame files.
