Matt Barton has devoted a few of his Matt Chat episodes — it’s a well-enough known YouTube series, in case you for some reason haven’t heard of it yet — to exploring different ages of computer role-playing games (CRPGs).

His two videos about the Bronze Age of such games can be found here (it includes mention of Akalabeth, if you’re curious to hear Barton’s comments thereupon) and here; his first video about the Silver Age of CRPGs focuses on some of the early Ultima titles:

The focus of the video is Ultima 1 through Ultima 3, and he also spends a bit of time looking at the unfortunate Escape From Mt. Drash spinoff.
