Check Out Lurking II: A Madness

OKLABSOFT, whose Lurking RPG we posted news about last year, have released a follow-up to that Ultima-inspired title. Lurking II: A Madness is described as a “Classic Fantasy Role-Playing Game for Windows”, and boasts the following features (among others; this list has been pruned somewhat):

  • Character creation with modifiable skills and attributes.
  • ‘Paper Doll’ style character representation.
  • Hundreds of items including clothing, musical instruments, custom forged weapons and armor and various other loot.
  • Dozens of magical spells and songs.
  • Party of up to 5 interchangeable characters.
  • Tactical turn-based combat.
  • Expansive multi-layer underworld and structure interiors maps.
  • Nonlinear story progression with completely open world exploration.
  • Hundreds of NPCs with extensive keyword-parsed conversations.
  • 50+ monsters with unique skills, attacks, and behaviors.
  • Plenty of noncritical secrets and hidden areas to find and explore.

You can purchase Lurking II from OKLABSOFT’s page for it at itch.io, whereat a free demo of the game is also available. The game’s manual is also available for download, evidently for free. The full game costs a modest $5.00 USD.
