Shroud of the Avatar: Console Ports May Be Explored, “Eventually”
Richard Garriott said a great deal yesterday, with just a single word, when asked if there might be a chance that Shroud of the Avatar would be released for PlayStation 4 one day:
Eventually. https://t.co/weRubxtj6L

Now, once some additional questions began to roll in, he offered a bit of a clarification:
We do plan additional versions, TBD after the PC launch. https://t.co/absOzscU8x

And then a bit more clarification:
I should clarify, we plan to explore them, we chose Unity in part for its multi platform ease. So, I hope so.

So will we see a console port of Shroud of the Avatar? Well…maybe. Certainly, it would seem to be the case that Richard Garriott would like to see the game released on other platforms, and certainly the game engine (Unity) is very friendly to cross-platform publishing. But will Portalarium have the time and budget to port the game? That remains to be seen.
