Spam Spam Spam Humbug: Episode 66 – Ultima Fan Projects Recap
We take a look at the various Ultima Fan Projects and Ultima-inspired projects that generated news over the course of 2016, including a few that didn’t make it into the Codex news feed (e.g. Nuvie, Exult, and Ultima 6 Online).

Fan Project Award Details
The top three projects in the onsite poll are awarded points thusly:
- Nine points
- Six points
- Three points
Then, a panel of SSSH judges each gets to name three projects, ranked first to third. Points are awarded thusly:
- Three points
- Two points
- One point
Judges for the panel will be chosen in a poll that will go live after this episode airs. Judges shall be chosen by January 25, and must submit their rankings by January 30th. A maximum of eight judges shall comprise the panel. (WtFD will be one judge, and any SSSH regulars who want to step into the role of judge will be allowed to do so. The vote will choose any judges needed to bring us up to eight. The community poll shall choose at least three judges, meaning that not more than five judge spots are reserved to SSSH regulars.)
The final results (poll results + judges rankings) will be the subject of the first show recorded in February.

I’d like to be a candidate for a judge, FYI. If that is confirmed I’ll begin playing/researching the projects as is possible in preparation for an informed vote. Others considering should do the same, I imagine.

There’s also the HoBLARP and the Ultima Cookbook, but those haven’t been released yet so they shouldn’t be on the list (even though the cookbook has been in the talks for years). It’ll be nice when it’s out though and becomes a contender.
