PC Gamer have published their 2016 list of The Best RPGs of All Time, because apparently a game is only a best RPG of all time for a year or so.

Be that as it may, it’s worth noting that Ultima 7: The Black Gate still graces the list, as does Ultima Underworld and its spiritual successor, Arx Fatalis. Notable additions to the list — as pointed out by the RPG Codex — include Tyranny, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Darkest Dungeon, and Dark Souls 3. Notable deletions (games that were on the 2015 list which didn’t make the cut this year) include Dungeons of Dredmor and Torchlight 2.
