Sir John’s other project, the Ultima 6 Nitpicker’s Delight patch, hasn’t had any downloads released yet (as far as I’m aware), but he has been putting some work into it coincident with his work on the German translation patch.

Firstly, he noticed something about one shopkeeper in particular, Tara (the healer in Minoc):

While addressing some bugs in the Tara convo for the Nitpicker patch today, I came across a line that read “Tara says: I have been working here for threescore years.”

If I remember the time frame for Ultima V and VI correctly it is only some ~25 years between both visits of the Avatar. That means that Tara should have been working in Minoc in Ultima V already…which eveidently she does not.

I guess, I’ll chew on that for a while and consider to limit the stated sixty to a mere “20 years” instead.

I’m also quite pleased with my progress on the Nitpickers Patch, which now has 14 Nitpicks addressed so far. The last biggie for sure was the spelling of “Captain John(e)”‘s name.
