Goldenflame Dragon has been vaguebooking for the last couple of weeks about a piece of optional content in The Dark Unknown that is consuming a large amount of his time…disproportionate, really, to the importance of the content.

And now we know what that is:

Ok, the program I used to make this gif was really shitty, so let me say that the changes to the light level on the floating island are not actually present in the game. But the rest is what I’ve been working on for far too much time- option dungeon Palace of the Skies, made up of floating islands above the cloud level…

As Goldenflame notes in his post to the Ultima Dragons Facebook group, the above image is not entirely reflective of how the Palace of the Skies will appear in-game. But this is indeed an interesting addition to The Dark Unknown, one I look forward to exploring more at some point in the future.
