FTF Geocacher Explores Richard Garriott’s Necropolis
FTF Geocacher is, unsurprisingly, a geocaching-focused magazine available by subscription (or on iTunes). A few years ago — in the summer of 2010, to be precise — FTF did a feature on the Necropolis of Britannia Manor III, the medieval horror-themed funhouse on Richard Garriott’s property that, among other things, also houses one of Garriott’s geocaches. Would-be geocachers must navigate the puzzles of the Necropolis to reach the cache.
As it so happens, William O. Billman found a copy of the summer 2010 issue of FTF, and scanned the relevant article out of it. He passed it along to the Codex, by way of Rustic Dragon, and…well, here it is:
The author of the article doesn’t go into detail about how to solve the Necropolis, although he does talk at length about the process of finding the entrance, a trip which evidently ranged all over Austin. There are a handful of images of the tokens that one must find, however, and a couple of images of some of the spookier things the Necropolis contains.
You can still buy a copy!
