New Projects Added: Ultima X Scenarions for Civilization 3, 4, and 5
General Maximus, as he styles himself, loves him some Ultima…and the Civilization series. So naturally, he combined the two and created a number of scenarios for Civilization 3, 4, and 5, all of which he has labeled as “Ultima X”.
The basic theme of each scenario is the same, more or less: the player is presented with a version of Britannia in which the various cities of Virtue have broken away from the rule of Lord British and formed their own city-states.
With the arrival of the Avatar, a wides-read rebellion begins, and these city-states begin attacking Britain. Now Lord British and the civilization of the Bards must fight to restore the kingdom of Britannia, as well as strive to save those towns scattered throughout the countryside that remain loyal to the crown before they are overrun. In the Battle for Britannia scenarios for Civilization 4 and 5, General Maximum has created a story wherein the forces and philosophy of the Fellowship and the Guardian stand in opposition to Lord British and the philosophy of the Eight Virtues; the two sides are locked in deadly battle for control of Britannia.
The maps have all been “hand drawn” in-game, and General Maximus has crammed as much Ultima-related detail into his scenarios as possible; resources such as mandrake root and blood moss can be found in their appropriate places in some of them, and there is much in the way of scenery and landmarks to take note of and fight for control over.
And granted, the scenarios themselves don’t have much — anything, really — to do with Ultima X: Odyssey. But even so, I’ve set up project entries for both of them — the Civilization 3 scenarios and the Battle for Britannia scenarios — at the Ultima X subdomain.

That’s kind of silly. I mean, plot-wise they seem more like replacements for Ultima IX than Ultima X. So these really fall into the category of “alternate Ultima IXs”.
