Sanctimonia: Initial Server Architectural Plan Maintenance
The caption to Kevin Fishburne’s latest YouTube video explains what you’re seeing therein in some technical detail:
First iteration of migrating client arch plan server submission from “insta-create” logic to an arch plan maintenance procedure. Server maintenance procedures basically “maintain” various world-sim features (vegetation growth, PWOs, players, fauna, weather) at either fixed intervals or variably determined by a nominal maintenance rate and the amount of data requiring maintenance. Sorta like load balancing, I suppose.
While this is one step among many, it’s a good start to what will be a reasonably realistic simulation of cooperative building construction (or deconstruction for you would-be griefers).
Here’s the video itself, showing the construction system in action. It’s pretty impressive:
Oh, and also:
Almost forgot… Massive improvement in the way "2D" assets (players, PWOs, fauna) are displayed within the otherwise 3D environment.

As always, Kevin seems to be making excellent progress on Sanctimonia.
