Ultima Forever & The Eight Virtues: Honor

Mythic have continued their examination of the Eight Virtues of Britannia with a look, as promised, at the Virtue of Honor. Their Monday update was a bit late in posting, which is why it is being covered here today, and it examines the Virtue proper:

Honor follows the principles of Courage and Truth. Sometimes it’s easy to be Truthful with others, but it takes real Courage to be Honest with oneself.

Honor is associated with the town of Trinsic.

The symbol of Honor is a Chalice and its associated player class is the Paladin.

The cavern against Honor is the Dungeon, Shame.

The Mantra of Honor is “Summ.” Its color is Purple.

How has Honor been a part of Britannia over the years? Paladins live by a very strict code of Honor, and can easily fall from grace if they break their oaths. Dupre is a prime example of what it means to be a Paladin (except, perhaps, his drinking habits…). Do you feel you could follow such a strict path? What player class do you feel the closest association with?

We should get a look at the town of Trinsic tomorrow. I’m still holding out a slight hope that by the end of the week, we’ll also see the Paladin added to the game as a playable class, although it’s probably not a realistic hope.
