Sanctimonia: Architectural GUI
Kevin Fishburne has been keeping busy, pressing development of his Ultima-inspired, PvE MMORPG Sanctimonia forward. Recently, he got textures on persistent world object blocks working:
If you didn't guess, block texture coordinate mapping is now working 100% and initial steps have been taken to fully implement block PWOs.

Testing went well:
Client requests to build blocks via architectural plan transactions honored by server. Block PWOs are persistent and have collision tiles.

The next step, then, was the creation of a GUI through which players could more effectively manage the creation of structures:
Created "architectural plan" textures (parchment and twelve 4" block variations). The menu code is next and the server commit already works.

As you can see, the setup is still fairly rudimentary, although the background scroll texture is quite aesthetically pleasing. Expect to see this enhanced in the future, and — knowing the good Mr. Fishburne — to see it in action presently.
