Ex-Interplay Fridays
A new update was published to the Project Eternity Kickstarter page this week, in which Tim Cain explains in some detail the proposed (and subsequently scrapped) crafting and item durability systems that will be featured in were planned for the game. Chris Avellone, meanwhile, answered a few questions about Project Eternity’s mega-dungeon recently.
PC Gamer, meanwhile, gave us a double-dose of inXile Entertainment-related content, offering up a preview of Torment: Tides of Numenera and an interview of sorts with Brian Fargo, in which inXile’s chief discusses his gaming habits.
Fargo also sat down and chatted with fellow game designer American McGee. It isn’t the lengthiest interview, but it’s fairly in-depth even so.
FYI, they cancelled that whole crafting and durability system less than three days later. People didn’t like it.
Duly noted!
Crafting still exists, I understand, but the skill and durability are gone.
