Per what has now become an established pattern, Mythic have closed out the week with an update to the Ultima Forever Facebook page that looks at Wrong, the opposite of Justice that gives its name to one of Britannia’s dungeons.

Wrong – what more adequate place for a prison than the principle opposing Justice?

Located on the shore of Lost Hope Bay, Wrong has held more than just prisoners. Over the years it has been home to the Green Virtue Stone, the Magic Orb from Ultima 4, and a piece of Map lost by Heftimus McPry.

Like most dungeons, in U4 is was sealed up to keep its evils contained, and reopened in U5. The shard of Hatred (from the Gem of Immortality) was found in the Underworld near the exit of Wrong.

In U6 Wrong was essential to the Avatar’s quest of finding the Silver Tablet. However, in U7 there was no real purpose for exploring Wrong other than loot (which is a good enough reason for me!).

In Ultima 9 Wrong was used as an official prison to preserve the corrupted “Justice” of Britannia. The Avatar’s companion Raven was imprisoned here on false charges, and you must face your old companion Jaana before you can free her.

Jaana (pronounced “Yah-nah”) was first seen in Ultima 4. During Blackthron’s regime she joined the Resistance early, retreating to the tunnels underneath Yew. After Blackthorn was overthrown, she continued to live in Yew as a Druid and tended to the community. She joins the Avatar for adventure in U4, U6, and U7.

In U7 she moved to Cove to practice her healing arts. Unaffected by the madness associated with Britannia’s magic users at the time, she can still cast healing spells and is a valuable asset to the party.

I never got arrested in Ultima 7, but I’m pretty sure I ended up in jail in Ultima 6 at least once.
