Bethesda Thursdays
OXM has posted a list of factoids about The Elder Scrolls Online that may be of interest to some of you. Notably, they assert that the game is rather unlike an MMO, overall, having more in common with a traditional RPG.
A few more previews of the game were also published in the last week.
Also, just to be extra-double-clear: Fallout 4 was not present in any way, shape, or form at E3, because Todd Howard isn’t ready to show it off yet. Or, rather, Howard isn’t ready to show whatever he’s working on off yet. (But we can all be reasonably sure that it’s Fallout 4, can’t we?)
Oh, and by the way: Bethesda just reduced the prices on a bunch of their games on Steam, Xbox Live, and the PlayStation Network.
Wolfenstein: The New Order won’t include a multiplayer component, mostly because Bethesda didn’t want to force the issue, and because including online play really didn’t fit the vision that Machine Games had for the title. That vision, however, does include a difficult “but fair” gameplay experience…unless you try the game on extreme difficulty. Then you can expect to “cry blood”, apparently.
And of course there was more news this week from OpenMW, development on which is proceeding apace. Zini, from the Titans of Ether, is working on scripting-related issues.
