Ultima Forever: Female Mages!
The Ultima Forever team at Mythic Entertainment recently updated their Twitter feed with some exciting news:

“Father Adrian”, huh? I wonder if that’s a player or an NPC. The explanation given that the “churches” were shrines is forgivable due to their connection to something higher than the self, but if that is an NPC with the honorific of Father then a deliberate association between the virtues and religion is being made. Not canonical, but interesting.
I think that connection has long been made. This location reminds me of the Temple of Virtue, which in Ultima V was tended by a pair of sisters. When I first played through the game, I misread this as their titles, “Sister Ava” and “Sister Leona”.
This also echoes back to Father Antos, whos blessing allowed the Stranger to obtain the Force Field Ring to defeat Minax, and later lived in Britannia with his children.
Facepalm. Good call. I played IV and V nearly to completion and apparently can’t remember a damn thing. Maybe a replay is in order.
