Sanctimonia: GUI Elements, Solar Lighting, and More Sound Effects
A handful of tweets from Kevin Fishburne reveal that he has had a fairly productive week in the development of his Ultima-inspired PvE MMORPG Sanctimonia. Here’s the first status update he posted:
“In-character” GUI elements (minimap, cloth map, crafting and gear management GUIs) now accurately incorporate solar lighting conditions.

And in addition to the graphics-related updates above, he made some changes to how the game client handles certain sound effects:
Wisp emitter client updates may now portend only a sound effect (no visual wisps created), great for unaccompanied impact sounds.

And, of course, he also spent some time testing out new sound effects:
Testing swing (player gear) and impact (tree and stick PWO) sound effect variation groups: youtu.be/BmAXXptBlS4 ffmpeg/alsa/pulse xruns.

As always, we’re seeing great progress being made on this game.
