In other, related news this week, we got to meed the chartered accountant at the heart of the investigation into the studio’s downfall. Forbes also published an opinion piece about how 38 Studios ultimately failed to understand video games that is worth a read.
We finally got some real news this week about the development progress made on Legend of Grimrock 2; a lot of Almost Human’s time has been spent cleaning up the codebase after the rush to get the first game out the door. Even so, progress has been made on world building, and the editor has seen some changes as well. Almost Human are also looking to recruit a freelance artist to do some portrait work.
Guido Henkel has posted a blog update that gives some details about the technology being used for Deathfire, his new RPG. Big surprise: he’s using Unity.
Oh, and don’t miss GameBanshee’s interview with Colin McComb about a cancelled PlayStation-exclusive Planescape game that Black Isle Studios worked on for a while quite a number of years ago.
