Bethesda Thursdays
Bethesda Softworks surprised everyone last week by releasing the soundtracks for many of their games on Apple’s iTunes Store. And as if that weren’t enough, they also announced North American release dates for the Skyrim DLC that have thus far been unavailable in the PlayStation version of the game. Dates for other localizations haven’t been announced as yet.
Oh, and just for good measure, the Dragonborn DLC was released on Steam. Bethesda also updated the high-resolution texture pack for the game to support the latest DLC.
Not to be outdone, the Skyrim modding community produced a Dovahbear companion mod, and also brought this amazing total conversion for Skyrim to light.
EDGE Online, meanwhile, turned their thoughts to The Reach, the most barren terrain in Skyrim’s world, arguing for its undying beauty.
And speaking of the soundtracks to Bethesda games, composer Jeremy Soule is looking to launch an orchestral concert series featuring the music of The Elder Scrolls games.
GameBanshee, for their part, voted Arkane Studios’ Dishonored as the runner-up action game/RPG hybrid of the year. And the OpenMW project had another productive week.
