Sanctimonia: Alpha Test Upcoming, Testers Wanted!
I didn’t notice this tweet from Kevin Fishburne, which is a shame, because it’s a rather important one:
The countdown has begun: eightvirtues.com/sanctimonia/al… I humbly ask you to help me make it a success. Stay tuned for more details.

As he notes in a comment on another post, the test will begin on February 1st, 2013, and he would really like the opportunity to stress-test the server. So, if you’d like to participate and help test his promising-looking man-versus-nature MMMORPG, head here for instructions (Windows users, you’ll need to install WUBI first), and then follow Kevin on Twitter as he counts down to the alpha test:
T minus 17. Refined instructions for Windows users: eightvirtues.com/sanctimonia/in… Client download is 350 MB uncompressed.

Oh, and he also posted a couple of new screenshots:
I’ll be there. Though that weekend is a busy one for me, if the alpha stays open after the weekend, definitely count me in 🙂
I’ll be releasing Debian/Ubuntu packages this month with proper dependencies. Hopefully a bunch of players will run around and test the mechanics I’ve implemented so far. Many features remain, but the basics should be relatively bug free. The one thing that makes shit crazy is players going outside the map, so keep that in mind everyone. It crashes the client, but not the server, so you can create a new player and start somewhere else if need be. Your old body will still be there, just outside the map.
The basic system requirements are GNU/Linux, GAMBAS 3 and USB gamepad. Decent video card and CPU/RAM are recommended for more responsive play. And not downloading torrents in the background or having a bad network setup helps.
