This doesn’t really count as “news”, since Richard Garriott purchased both Luna 21 and Lunokhod 2 back in 1993, at a Sotheby’s auction in New York. Still, if you weren’t aware…now you know: the Ultima creator and private space explorer owns two pieces of Soviet hardware that still reside on the moon today.
