Larian Saturdays
Larian Studios posted answers from the Divinity: Dragon Commander community Q&A to their Facebook page earlier this week. The game continues to sound like an interesting, genre-bashing mix of things, although I think it’s safe to say that the game is going to be primarily a strategy-focused title.
Oh, and they also released this gameplay video from Divinity: Original Sin, which has a bit of a Thanksgiving theme to it:
Not like I wasn’t sold on the concept of an Ultima 7 world interactivity with Fallout 1-2 combat. But this video totally sold me.
Well played, Sven, well played.
I love it how the release date is for q1 2013. No need to rush it out for Christmas. I’ll save my pennies for a game like this!
Game looks awesome, but they need to have a more tactically-friendly top-down alternate perspective to better effect informed interaction. Hopefully they have collision detection for moving bodies and semi-static objects.
Also, 2013 is going to be a year of some influential games. The “indies” are slowly maturing and finding a balance between the nostalgia of old and what is truly awesome on the modern I/O device.
2013 and 2014 are both looking good for games. The future, she is bright!
