CD Projekt Sundays
CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 2 website has been graced by a countdown, which at the time of this writing has about 26 days left on it. The website also features a story in Polish, something about someone receiving a letter that contains an invitation to the founding of a secret society…which, frankly, sounds like a fine premise for a new piece of DLC. But we’ll probably have to wait most of the rest of a month to really find out.
Speaking of The Witcher 2, Destructoid has a lengthy piece up that looks at REDKit, The Witcher 2’s modding toolkit, which is slated for release soon. Honestly, it sounds like a powerhouse of a toolset…something that would-be Ultima fan project teams might want to take a look at when it enters wide release.
CDPR also went on record last week to say that sending letters to known The Witcher 2 pirates was probably not the brighest idea they’ve ever had.
On the Cyperpunk 2077 front, Cyberpunk 2027 author Mike Pondsmith explained — in a pair of blog posts — why he chose to partner with CD Projekt RED to make a game based on the Cyberpunk property. CD Projekt RED’s PR specialist Agnieszka Szóstak also chatted with PC Gamer recently about the game, explaining some of the early work that has been done on it and what some of the company’s design aims are in crafting it.
