Over in the forum, Spencer Hendricks has a request:

I’m a total beginner in the RPG world but looking to expand my gaming horizons, so to speak. An RPG-loving friend of mine has always pushed me to give RPG’s a fair chance before writing them off, so I’m attempting to take him up on that challenge; he suggested I try Ultima 7. Obviously, I know next to nothing about the series or RPG’s in general, but I’m doing my best to succeed and would really love to get feedback and tips from Ultima fans. I’m blogging about the entire journey at GameShy and will be keeping it updated as I advance. Any help I can get is much appreciated. I’ll be needing it. Thanks in advance.

He’s played the game for about eight days so far, and has made it as far as Minoc (although I think he forgot to take Rudyom’s wand on his way through Cove, not that he can’t go back and get it later). Actually, for a self-professed RPG beginner, he’s doing fairly well for himself, despite a few issues with the “antiquated pixel graphics” of the game.

So, Ultima fans…if you’ve got any comments for Spencer, or would like to offer him some advice, either chime in on the forum thread or drop him some comments at GameShy. Help forge a new Ultima fan!
