Ultima Codex regular (and editor; he sort of sneaks around in the background and makes minor updates and corrections to spelling and syntax) GuJiaXian has listed his boxed copy of Martian Dreams for sale on Amazon. It’s listed as “Open Box – Like New”, and he has this to say about it:

Edges and corners have minor shelf wear. Note that this is the 3.5″ disk version. Included are all manuals, maps, inserts, etc. (all in excellent condition). Also included is the EA Compilation CD, which includes a copy of The Savage Empire.

Amazon, it should be noted, erroneously lists the diskette size as 5.25″. Minor wear aside, though, this sounds like a pretty sweet collectible to add to the shelf. It’s been a while since I looked at prices for copies of the game that are in similar condition, but it seems to me that his asking price ($74.99 USD + $3.99 USD for shipping) isn’t unreasonable; I can vaguely recall copies of Savage Empire selling for north of $100 USD.

The Amazon sale, it should be noted, is limited to the US only; no international shipping option exists. However, GuJiaXian is willing to arrange a private sale as well, should any overseas Ultima fans be interested. Drop him a private message if so!
