Pix has posted a selection of images from a lengthy Japanese gamebook (the first in a set of three, actually) called Cabal of Zole the Mage. Published in 1988 by Futabasha, it ostensibly follows the plot of Ultima 3 to some degree.

At the very least, it seems to involve a fair bit of monster-killing, and Ultima 3 certainly had a lot of that. I can’t really tell from the other images he has posted whether the book is at all faithful to Exodus’ plot. Pix has made available a PDF of the entire first book in the set available for download, however, so those of you who can read Japanese are welcome to go, grab a copy, and then rush back here to tell us whether it actually does do some justice to the story of Ultima 3.
