CD Projekt Sundays
The big news from CD Projekt RED this week is, without doubt, the announcement that The Witcher 2 will be getting its own modding tools in the near future. Pay close attention, would-be Ultima fan project developers!
CD Projekt RED has also launched a new studio blog, and have posted a two-part article series (Part 1, Part 2) to it explaining the making of the “52 and a Half” trailer and its purpose.
In other The Witcher 2 news, the game’s Enhanced Edition will be released in Japan later this month. And one of the game’s developers, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, was quoted in an interview as saying that he believes all DLC should be free. There’s your discussion topic, Dragons and Dragonettes.
A lot of news was also published this week concerning the upcoming Cyberpunk RPG that the studio is working on. A community Q&A was evidently held on August 1st, and CD Projekt RED also published some FAQs for the game earlier this month. Joystiq also ran an article in which some people from the studio discussed what has influenced the game’s story and development.
There was also some briefly interesting news late last month (if memory serves) concerning a job posting on the CD Projekt RED website: the studio was looking to hire a programmer with multiplayer experience. The posting seemed to suggest that the position would be for two different upcoming titles, but was later confirmed to be a research-oriented role only.
