Pix’s Ultima Patcher Updated
Our good friend Pix has updated his quick-and-easy patching utility for the Ultima games with support for Savage Empire and Martian Dreams, which of course were released on GOG.com yesterday. Concerning the update, he says:
I’ve added in support for Martian Dreams and Savage Empire to the Ultima Patcher. If there are any fan patches for either game, I wasn’t able to find them so this just adds the option to use MT-32 emulation in both games (if you have the ROM’s). This was a rush job to get it done today for the GOG release but I’m relatively sure it works. If anyone actually uses this, I’ll look at adding MT-32 emulation support to the rest of the games.
You can download the patcher from Pix’s site directly, or from any of the game-specific subdomains (hit the top menu for the list of active ones!). Or, because convenience is key, you can grab it right here:

Now I’m intrigued. Mt32 emulation for the games? How did you do this? Or is it “just” a dosbox+munt thing?
It just swaps the supplied dosbox for a build with munt and changes the dosbox config.
