To celebrate the release of Ultima 7 on Good Old Games today, it seems fitting to take a look at the original introductory movie that Denis Loubet created for Serpent Isle. Ultimately, this movie was cut and edited for length and detail (because in its original form, it required too much diskette space), but Mr. Loubet kept the original and released it on his website some years later.

Note the Serpent Pillars rising from the ocean.Now, obviously, the original lacks some of the things added to the movie in post-production, including the audio track and the Guardian’s head floating above the scroll in the castle scene. As such, Kobra Kai Dragon has produced an edited version of the introduction that adds those things back in:
