Dragon Age: Redemption Finally Gets Released!
But first…here is the trailer in all its starring-Codex-Dragon glory:

Alec Meer at Rock, Paper, Shotgun weren’t terribly impressed with it, and to be fair their criticism of the apparent production values isn’t an illegitimate one; web series of this nature tend to straddle the line between particularly good fan videos and moderately good professional productions, and they certainly don’t tend to have the budget of larger efforts…including video game DLC. Meer points out that the trailer for Mark of the Assassin (the Dragon Age 2 DLC and which also stars Felicia Day) looks, sounds, and just generally feels better.
Mark of the Assassin was released today, by the way. Here is the trailer for it:
Anyhow…here is the first of the miniseries’ six episodes:
Do give it a watch, Dragons and Dragonettes, and decide its merits amongst yourselves.
I liked it. The production value was a lot higher than I was expecting. Anyone that watches web series’ knows that it isn’t going to look like a hollywood movie. I’m guessing the reviewer hasn’t seen a lot of non-studio web series.
I think my favourite part about it is that she is an assassin. And she actually acts like it. “Hmm… this random person is annoying me. I think I’ll kill him.” (not an actual quote, just the impressions I got of her thought process). The Qunari look pretty damned awesome. Felicia looks hot (she’s the kind of woman that gets more and more attractive the more you see of her/learn about her). I’ll be tuning in every week.
The Redemption video was awesome, cheesy, and funny at the same time. I didn’t like the monster makeup on the faces though. They should have made the CG blood darker so it blended in better. Also maybe 50-75% opaque.
Interesting that the video included a short clip of what looked like the prelude to torture. Two assailants approaching an inert human strapped to a table, one of whom has a knife. Serious DarthNo.
