New Gallery: Ultima 3 C128 Soundtrack
Courtesy of the Goldenflame Dragon of tumbloian.org, Ultima Aiera is pleased to present the soundtrack of Ultima 3 as it sounds on a Commodore 128. Goldenflame plugged his C128’s sound output into his PC’s sound card and recorded the music in WAV format, then converted it to MP3.

The Ultima 3 version of ‘Exodus’ is still probably my favourite song in Ultima, followed by the Fellowship theme.
There was an early PC sound card called the Innovation SSI 2001 which used the SID sound chip out of a Commodore. It only ever got supported in about a dozen games but Ultima 6 was one of them.

To be honest, I never much liked the Ultima III soundtrack, it was just too simplistic and repetitive. Later games helped flesh out the audio experience a lot.
