A gauntlet has been thrown down
I pushed my goal up to $1000 for the month and I think I might actually make it. I will admit that a lot of my donations are from very amazing family members and friends, and I will still need to do some work to reach my goal by the end of the month, but I think I can do it.
I have noticed though that we do need a few donations throughout the team to even things out. The nice thing is that I know a lot of donations come in near the end of November when people can unveil their ‘masterpieces’ upon the world. But sometimes a bit of reminder throughout the drive can help out a lot.
I’ll put up a night of dinner, for you AND your spouse, with me and my girlfriend, at someplace nice downtown (anyplace is fine with me, your choice) if you can raise $500 before the end of Movember.
Currently, I’m at a heady $40, which…certainly falls short of the target he’s set out. Honestly, I didn’t enter into this campaign with any set donation goal in mind, and to be fair I won’t be crushed — or even mildly put out — if I fall short of the $500 goal that Ben has set here.
At the same time, I wouldn’t mind attempting to rise to the challenge either. I mean, a gauntlet thrown down is a gauntlet thrown down, and a prize dinner to claim is tasty indeed!
So if you are able, good Dragons and Dragonettes, drop some dollars to support prostate cancer research; make the irritation that this beard and mustache are inflicting on me worth something!
